A major wind farm could be utilised as a tourist attraction in the far north, a Highland councillor has said.
Kirsteen Currie envisages the Strathy South development in Sutherland as a “Whitelee of the North”, a reference to the UK’s largest onshore windfarm near Glasgow.
The 39-turbine project was approved in 2018 following a public inquiry after Highland Council and others, including the RSPB and NatureScot, objected.
TROY, N.Y. â Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced recently that an indictment was handed up on Friday, May 21 for Duncan Maclean, 37, previously of Pittstown.
Maclean was charged on Wednesday, May 26, on one count of felony second-degree attempted murder, one count of felony first-degree assault, one count of felony first-degree attempted and one count of felony second-degree assault.
Maclean is accused of attacking his victim, with a hammer, in late 2017.

âI am pleased that the courts have re-opened so we were able to present this case to a grand jury. We are one step closer to justice for his victim,â Donnelly said.
