DTA Will Still Require Masks On Buses and In Transit Hubs The recent announcement from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz regarding the ending of the face covering requirement was an encouraging sign in the fight against COVID-19. However, private businesses and local municipalities may still put in place face covering requirements. One such business in Duluth that will still require face coverings is the Duluth Transit Authority. The DTA announced to the public Friday that despite the change in guidance from the Centers For Disease Control, they are still requiring masks on all buses and in transit hubs. This policy applies to all passengers, including those who are fully vaccinated.

St. Louis County and The Duluth Transit Authority have teamed up for a vaccination clinic Tuesday, May 4th and Wednesday, May 5th from 1 PM - 5 PM at the Duluth Transportation Center located on Michigan St. in Downtown Duluth. The clinic will be staffed with public health nurses from St. Louis County, and they will be there to answer any questions or concerns about the vaccine and for those who want it, they will be offering the one dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Downtown Duluth transit center to host vaccination clinic next week The two-day clinic will feature public health nurses on hand to answer questions, and no appointments are necessary. 7:12 pm, Apr. 30, 2021 × St. Louis County and the Duluth Transit Authority are conducting a joint vaccination effort next week at the Duluth Transportation Center on Michigan Street downtown. The clinic will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-5 p.m., both days, and is aimed at both educating and vaccinating for COVID-19 with no appointment necessary. The clinics will feature public health nurses on hand to answer questions, and they will have vaccine doses ready for anyone who would like to be vaccinated free of charge. The joint effort is aimed at providing easy access and equity, a DTA news release said.

Vaccination event to be held at the Duluth Transportation Center

WDIO St. Louis County and the Duluth Transit Authority have partnered for an upcoming vaccination event. The event will be held Tuesday, May 4th, and Wednesday May 5th at the Duluth Transportation Center from 1:00pm-5:00pm on both days. At the event, people will have the opportunity to learn about the COVID-19 vaccine and receive one if they want to, free of charge. We wanted to provide the public with a great vaccination option in the heart of downtown. This Partnership with St. Louis County allows us to provide easy and equitable access to all,  Duluth Transit Authority General Manager Rod Fournier said.
