Duluth Police & Fire Departments Team up to Nab Robbery Suspect On Memorial Day of all days, a man was robbed at the Northland Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial. Just after 4 PM on Monday, the Duluth Police Department got a call about a robbery that had just taken place at the memorial, the victim says they were threatened with a machete before the suspect took off with a backpack. Before the suspect got away, the victim managed to snap some photos of the suspect, who the police immediately identified when they arrived at the scene of the robbery. The suspect was spotted on a bike a short time after and took off on foot when he saw the police closing in on him.
