The City Council meeting held on Dec. 12 included passing a motion to accept the final 2024 levy budget, a series of public hearings, and the acceptance of Finance Director Lloyd Lanz’s retirement.
On Tuesday, Nov. 14 the city council deferred approving municipal consent for 30 days to give business owners affected by the project additional time to negotiate with MnDOT.
Business owners that will be directly impacted by the upcoming project were in attendance and voiced their concerns about the Highway 10 layout version presented at the meeting.
Dozens of Wadena residents showed up on Dec. 8 to make their concerns known during the second of two public information open houses concerning the Highway 10 expansion project.
