A power outage on a busy Greenville road Wednesday affected hundreds of customers and businesses, according to Duke Energy.2:30 p.m. Update: Duke Energy officials said crews were able to re-route power to other lines and most of the customers originally impacted by this outage have had service restored. About 100 customers still have no power until the repairs are completed, officials said.The outage was reported at 12:30 p.m. and affected more than 1,000 customers, according to the Duke Energy website.According to the company s outage map, it appeared that Haywood Mall was affected.At least one restaurant in the area told WYFF News 4 it had to away customers because employees could not use their kitchen.Traffic lights in the area were also out.Officials said they expected repairs to be complete by 4:30 p.m.The website said the cause was a vehicle that damaged the company s equipment.WYFF News 4 crews found a downed utility pole on Byrdland Drive at Airport Road.
