It’s been a roller coaster season for high school athletic teams with many games either being cancelled or rescheduled. Most teams have been adversely affected by the Covid 19 pandemic, some more so than others.
That has certainly been the case with the Baylor girls basketball team.
Despite being without eight of their top nine players, the Lady Red Raiders still hosted arch-rival GPS at Duke Arena Thursday evening.
The visiting Bruisers headed back home with a 50-46 victory as they improved to 7-5 on the abbreviated season, but Baylor coach John Gibson wasn’t making excuses as he was looking on the bright side when the game ended.
