Charity foundation hands out grants to Dudley good causes

Two local charities have benefited from money given to them after The Saleem Foundation (TSF) launched a grant application scheme. Set up by Shaz Saleem, a former ambassador to the Mayor of Dudley, the TSF was granted charitable status last year. After dozens of applications the first grants awarded were to Brierley Hill-based Lunch on the Run and Kingswinford’s More Mascots Please community business.

Charity foundation helps Russell s Hall and Oldbury schools

CHOCOLATES and Christmas cards were the order of the day at two local schools, thanks to the aid of a charitable foundation. The Saleem Foundation (TSF), set up by the Chairman of Dudley Taxi Association, helped ensure none of the pupils at the Sutton Special School in Russell’s Hall missed out on a Christmas treat. The school had appealed for 180 selection boxes for the children as they broke up for the Christmas holidays. When the total had reached 120 TSF stepped in to provide the last 60 and put smiles on the children’s faces. Teacher Maxine Anne said: “We are delighted with the response we have received from parents and The Saleem Foundation.
