Tiger population rises to 135 at Dudhwa park

The number of tigers in the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve area has risen to 135 from a previous population of 82 - a jump of more than 64 per cent between 2018 and 2022, an official said. According to the latest government data released on the International Tiger Day on Saturday, the number of tigers in India has increased from 2,967 in 2018 to 3,682 in 2022, an annual rise of 6 per cent.
