A 31-year-old man surrendered to the police here after allegedly murdering his girlfriend’s mother by slitting her throat.
An initial investigation found that the suspect met the 59-year-old victim and her 25-year-old daughter at their home in Taman Sentosa Apartment, Mile 2, here,
Saturday.
An argument erupted before the suspect slit the victim’s throat. The victim died at the scene while her daughter was slightly injured.
The motive of the murder is still under investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
The victim’s body was sent to the Duchess Of Kent Hospital’s forensic unit for an autopsy, while the suspect is currently under remand. Sandakan District Police Chief ACP Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek confirmed the incident
