Middle of downtown. Rapids. Ive either got a firework or shots fired downtown somewhere. Police say they came from behind this barhazzard county american saloon, a popular country themed bar in the city. Its located across the street from goodyear tire, which can be heard in the scanner traffic. Alright goodyear, 2nd avenue, possible shots fired. Its not long before police spot the suspect so ive got a white male, heavy set, white shirt, black sleeves, has a gun. They track him down as he is apprently hiding. Behind cooper tire, behind cooper tire, hes hiding behind a truck. In a matter of minutes, 21yearold derek bailey is arrested.
