Girls Volleyball: Kristen Hershberger named coach at Westerville North
She will replace Amanda Mosely, who left after three seasons.
Hershberger spent eight seasons at West Jefferson, where she compiled a record of 126-62 and won four league championships. We are very excited to bring someone like Kristen into our girls volleyball program,” athletics director Wes Elifritz said. “With her experience as a player and coach, she s going to help put Westerville North girls volleyball back to where we want it. She will definitely love our girls, but she will also bring a needed accountability that will help us get back to success as early as this fall.”

Pickerington North boys basketball coach Jason Bates knew he would play four guards most of the time this season, but expected to have 6-foot-5 senior center Elijah Hawk as an anchor inside.
When Hawk, a Western Michigan football recruit, temporarily left the team early in the season, the role of big man was passed to 6-4 junior center Steven Hile.
Acting largely as a defensive presence, Hile averaged 4.6 points and 8.0 rebounds through four games as North was 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the OCC-Ohio Division before playing New Albany on Jan. 8.
Wrestling: Dublin Scioto s Dylan Le eager to make another push for state
ThisWeek group
Dublin Scioto senior Dylan Le still wonders “what if” when he thinks about the cancellation of the Division I state wrestling tournament last March because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Le, who competed at 113 and 120 pounds last season and is expected to compete at 120 this year, will be attempting to earn his third state berth.
He was supposed to be joined at state a year ago by 2020 graduates Daniel Segura (152), Deron Pulliam (182) and Donovan Hardin (heavyweight). They lost out on a final chance to compete during their prep careers because of the pandemic.
