Tánaiste Micheál Martin did not have figures from the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) when making the decision on whether the eviction ban should be extended.
Leo Varadkar has insisted that if ministers knew the number of eviction notices served in the final quarter of last year, it would not have changed the decision to end the ban.
