The Supreme Court on Friday dismisses the pleas which sought a fresh stray counselling round to fill up vacant All India Quota (AIQ) seats for postgraduate courses in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021
Disturbed by a spate of pleas before it highlighting vacant PG medical seats, the Supreme Court hinted at the granting compensation to all such doctor-students jeopardised due to non-filling of vacant seats.
A plea has been filed before the Supreme Court stating that the ₹8 lakh cut-off for inclusion in the EWS criteria cannot be implemented for NEET PG 2022 since the EWS issue is pending before the top court.
