Authorities in Dubai have issued multiple new Covid-19 safety measures to protect residents and tourists from the coronavirus.
Inspectors from regulatory bodies like the Dubai Economy, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Tourism are out on the field to ensure that all precautionary measures are followed at outlets and venues.
The fresh directives will ensure more social distancing at private gatherings, weddings, eateries, gyms and hospitals across the emirate. Here is a list of all the announcements that were made over the weekend.

Number of centres increased as demand for the vaccine grows.
The total number of centres providing the Covid-19 vaccine in Dubai now stands at 120, it was announced on Sunday. The increase is in response to the “growing demand” for the vaccine, the Government of Dubai Media Office said in a Press statement.
The vaccine is currently available in several hospitals in Dubai: Rashid Hospital Mediclinic Hospital Network (13 locations) Three mobile units. Al Mizhar Union Health Centres Al Qusais Health Centre Screening centres at Al Khawaneej and Port Rashid;

Dubai currently has 19,259 food establishments.
A total of 1,303 new food establishments were opened in Dubai in 2020. This means that on an average, over three eateries opened every day last year.
Sultan Al Taher, director of food inspection section, Dubai Municipality, said on Tuesday that Dubai has 19,259 food establishments. This is expected to reach 20,000 before Expo 2020 Dubai, which starts in October.
“The emirate enjoys a global reputation and great confidence among investors. It also enjoys consumers’ confidence in the regulatory authorities that ensure the health and safety of the food served. The food safety system in Dubai is distinguished as it is a smart one, which has made the emirate one of the best cities in the world in this field,” Al Taher said.
