Drug charges filed in Madison County

EDWARDSVILLE Felony drug charges filed Feb. 3 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office include:
• Margaret J. Womack, 69, of Alton, for two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, both Class 4 felonies. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On Oct.3 Womack allegedly was found to be in possession of less than 15 grams of alprazolam and oxycodone hydrochloride. Bail was set at $15,000.
• William D. McGiffen, 33, of Alton, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On Aug. 7 McGiffen allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $15,000.
