the suspect pulls taylor on to the platform. he then flees the scene with the young boy. a rider eventually pulls the emergency switch to alert a train operator and a woman who did not witness the attack helps taylor get to the local hospital. i ran behind him, like this, you all right? he said, yeah, i m all right. he was holding his face. i asked him, well, you want to go to the hospital? he said, yeah. she helped me out and took me to the hospital. we talk to each other every day now, make sure we re both okay. she s a good person. taylor is treated for a broken finger and cuts to his head and neck. i got staples right here and right here. broken finger. about six stitches in the back of my neck. several stitches, broken fingers. but i don t know what kind of psychological impact this could have obviously. you re riding home from work, asleep on a subway, and then all of a sudden, a man attacks you with a hammer. he s fortunate that those are the extent of his injuries.
