Patrick Davis To Kick Off McLemore Songwriters Series Friday, May 14, 2021
McLemore announced the kick off of “The McLemore Songwriters Series”, a monthly concert series taking place from May through October, featuring six performances by some of the most acclaimed songwriters from Nashville and beyond. The first artist to kick off the series will be musician Patrick Davis. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 20 at the Beir Garden at McLemore. Davis is a gifted singer-songwriter whose debut solo album, Chances Are, was co-produced by Hootie & the Blowfish guitarist Mark Bryan, organizers said. Patrick co-wrote Dixie Lullaby for Pat Green, which landed a place in the Country Music Top 20. This opened the door for a series of songwriting collaborations with Jewel, Darius Rucker and Guy Clark, and invitations to tour with Vince Gill, Darius Rucker and Hootie & the Blowfish.

Duane Horton, developer of the McLemore community on top of Lookout Mountain, said the project had a strong ending to 2020 with projections calling for a record-breaking year in 2021.
He said, “Last year, we opened the golf course, short course, clubhouse and The Creag, our restaurant that is open to the public as well as to our residents. Every home placed on the market was sold and those under construction are also under contract. As we plan for the new year, conservative projections call for sales tripling. This expected growth is exciting for a team that has been focused on developing this community, but it’s also extremely humbling as we see efforts yield such strong return.”

Leaders of McLemore have selected Valor Hospitality to provide management of the property located atop Lookout Mountain. The team will be leading efforts for the newly opened clubhouse and restaurant that is also open to the public.
Recently recognized by Golf Digest as the Best Finishing Hole Since 2000 , McLemore has golfers visiting from around the region. Leaders said that the course located 2200 feet above McLemore Cove and designed by renowned golf architects Rees Jones and Bill Bergin set the tone for the development of the property as a destination ‘above the clouds’.
