Dropping down from the Gulf of Alaska, a typical late-winter storm is forecast to move across the San Francisco Bay Area Monday through Wednesday, delivering a potent mix of scattered rain, thunderstorms, small hail, gusty winds, chilly temperatures and low-elevation snow.
The slow-moving system will arrive in the North Bay in the late afternoon Monday and spread across the entire region overnight, with widespread scattered showers in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
