France-based Moteurs Baudouin and its U.S. distributor, Motor Services Hugo Stamp (MSHS) Group, have teamed up with Fletcher Technical Community College in Houma, La., to provide students in the school’s marine diesel engine technician program with vital hands-on experience, thanks to four donated Baudouin marine diesel engines.
MSHS Group donated the four 6M26.3 Baudouin engines, which are the same engines being installed in new vessels at four southeast Louisiana shipyards.
“Operations of this size incorporate a sizable workforce of highly-skilled and paid trade jobs,” MSHS Group territory manager Dual Yelverton said in a statement. “The value to students of being able to work on these engines is much more than just nominal.
