Retail fertilizer prices for the fourth week of June 2022 continue to be down from the previous month. Prices were led lower by urea, which was down 11% compared to last month.
Retail fertilizer prices for the first week of July 2022 continued to be less expensive than the prior month. Prices were once again led lower by urea, which was down 11% compared to last month for the second straight week.
With the war in Ukraine driving up food and energy prices, fertilizer has become a major point of contention as immediate food needs overwhelm long-term environmental policies such as reducing emissions.
