Franklin County Daily Report: Crime, Theft, Accidents

The Ottawa Herald Arrests  • 8:40 p.m. 03/05, 3400 block of K-68 highway, Zachery Roberts, 21, Paola, was arrested and released on a notice to appear for driving while suspended after being stopped for a traffic infraction.  • 12:32 a.m. 03/05, 2500 block of US-59 highway, Lance Segrist, 37, Osage City, was arrested and released on a notice to appear for circumvention of an ignition interlock device after being stopped for a traffic infraction.  • 11:38 a.m. 03/06, 300 block of K-68 highway, Connie Tucker, 69, Richmond, was arrested in connection with driving while suspended and on a warrant issued by the Garnett Police Department after a traffic stop. Connie was issued a notice to appear for the traffic offense and was released to the Garnett Police Department for the warrant.

Main St., Ottawa, Michael Runnells, 31, Williamsburg, was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for a probation violation.  • 9:55 p.m. Monday, 400 W. Franklin St., Pomona, Taylor Larsh, 30, Pomona, was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for a probation violation.  • 5:42 p.m. Monday, 3700 block of Interstate 35, Eric Sifuentes-Rivera, 35, Oklahoma City, was arrested and released on a notice to appear for driving with no license.  • 1:55 a.m. Monday, 2900 block of Interstate 35, Johnnie Williams, 65, Fulton, Mo., was arrested in connection with driving under the influence and no liability insurance after being reported as an erratic driver.

Every year over two million wreaths are placed on military members graves at around 2,500 cemeteries across the country. The tradition that has been going on for years and continues in Amarillo with a smaller and shorter ceremony. “So, people gather around the flagpole and in the llano cemetery where they have the memorial. The color guard comes out and presents the colors, we have the national anthem, an indication, we have a moment of silence and a nice discussion about honoring our fallen. After that, everyone breaks off, grabs wreaths and lays them out,” said Captain Amy VonBehren, commander of
