KUALA LUMPUR: Police have busted a drug syndicate masterminded by a Thai woman with the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of RM520,000 worth of methamphetamine in a series of raids here on Friday (Aug 23).
Police said that the kingpin of this syndicate is Simran Singh of Ferozpur, who is presently in Melbourne, Australia and operating his network from there. He is in contact with Pakistan based smuggler reportedly identified as Arif Dogar and used the border area for smuggling heroin through drones and plastic bottles left in river water and collected with the help of his accomplice in India.
