Andrae Loyd III charged with intent to deliver Schedule II controlled substance | News, Sports, Jobs

ajohnson@minotdailynews.com Andrae Loyd III, 26, New Town, is charged in district court in Stanley with Class B felony intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance inNew Town on Thursday. According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Loyd allegedly sold pills to a confidential informant working for law enforcement in a vehicle outside a residence. Loyd’s residence at 612 Rainbow Drive was searched after the Drug Enforcement Division obtained a search warrant and evidence located included $595 in U.S. currency in one bedroom, a blue pill inside a boot in the bedroom. Two ledgers were found incide the same bedroom. Loyd had $3,956 in U.S. currency in his pants pocket and 18 blue pills. Agents from the Drug Enforcement Division had already bagged the evidence. They turned over custody to a deputy from the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Department, who took Loyd to the jail in Stanley. (WMBF) - A man is in custody after drugs were found in a North Carolina motel earlier this week. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said its Drug Enforcement Division and SWAT teams executed a search warrant at the Econo Lodge on Capuano Road in Lumberton. Deputies said the search led to the seizure of drugs including fentanyl, cocaine and marijuana as well as a firearm and other drug paraphernalia.

Bangladesh, Myanmar anti-drug authorities agree on joint border patrol Photo: Star Star Online Report Star Online Report Bangladesh and Myanmar anti-drug authorities agreed for joint border patrol and establishing liaison offices in a bid to stop yaba pill smuggling into Bangladesh from the neighbouring country. The both authorities also promised for more intelligence sharing and vigilance in River Naf to check the smuggling. The decisions were made in virtual conference between Bangladesh s Department of Narcotic Control and Myanmar s Drug Enforcement Division (DED). It was the fourth DG level talks between the two anti-drug authorities after a three-year interval. Briefing reporters after the conference, DNC Director General Muhammed Ahsanul Jabbar said that Bangladesh emphasised on yaba pills smuggling issue in the conference and Myanmar authorities did not deny the smuggling into Bangladesh.

India and Myanmar hold virtual bilateral meeting on Drug Control Cooperation; India raises concern on drug trafficking at border

On December 10, India and Myanmar held the 5 th bilateral meeting on Drug Control Cooperation between the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), India and the Central Committee on Drug Abuse Control, Myanmar. The Indian delegation was led by the Director General Narcotics Control Bureau, Rakesh Asthana, and the Myanmar delegation was led by the Commander of the Drug Enforcement Division (DED) cum Joint Secretary of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control, Pol. Brig. Gen. Win Naing. Asthana said that India was concerned by high prevalence of drug abuse in the North Eastern States abutting the Myanmar border. He also called to address the challenge of drug trafficking through the maritime route in Bay of Bengal.

India, Myanmar to share intelligence information to control drug trafficking ANI | Updated: Dec 11, 2020 16:44 IST New Delhi [India], December 11 (ANI): India and Myanmar agreed upon the exchange of intelligence information in a timely manner to conduct follow-up investigation in drug seizure cases, said the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday after the conclusion of fifth India-Myanmar bilateral meeting on Drug Control Cooperation which was held on Thursday. The Indian delegation was led by the Director-General Narcotics Control Bureau, Rakesh Asthana, and the Myanmar delegation was led by the Commander of the Drug Enforcement Division (DED) cum Joint Secretary of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control, Pol. Brig. Gen. Win Naing.
