don t have food, they don t have water. people are drinking water from the pipes that feed radiators, they are drinking waste water. the conditions are terrible in mariupol, dead bodies are lying in the streets and people are trying to bury their neighbours by the road verges. the humanitarian crisis inside mariupol, there is no question about what is happening there but until aid agencies can get in and assess the situation, you can imagine only what the situation is like. we have seen the situation is like. we have seen the aerial photographs, the drone shots that show how much of the city has been devastated by this russian bombardment. earlier this week russia announced it would drastically reduce military action around kyiv. but nato has warned that moscow is not sticking to its pledge. our chief international correspondent, lyse doucet, has been speaking to people still living in the ukrainian capital, and sent us this report.

matter what. so thank you so much. cnn national correspondent natasha chen is live in huntington beach. are we learning anything more about what caused the breach in the first place? not quite yet, fred. we are expecting a press presence shortly and hoping to find out more answers. what county supervisor did tell us is that the company responsible, their parent company, amplified energy, are working with the coast guard and other parties to clean this up and working on repairing the leak. here at huntington beach people are advised not to get in the water. even even, so we saw a couple folks come from the station to wash your feet after you spent day on the sand they have clump of oil on their feet now and we can show you through our drone shots that there are a number of people on the beach today. that s because there was supposed to be an air show.
how the responsible party is going to be held accountable. and the mayor said that s to be determined, of course. they re going to work on that. it s a little too early to say whether there will be any sort of criminal charges. you can see our drone shots right now over the area. this is a wide expanse. potentially 13 square miles. and we also captured some footage earlier of a couple of ships already trying to do some damage control here. those ships are dropping a boom trying to drag that up and down the shoreline collecting oil. and so work is already being done to try and contain this. meanwhile, we re told the responsible party is trying to fix this leak, to repair it right now. and we re told that the company is beta offshore. we will be learning more about how exactly this happened. it s still not entirely clear how long this has been leaking. because we re hearing from folks living in the area that they
orleans and then, is expected to meet with louisiana governor john bell edwards. we know that hurricane ida has claimed five lives on the ground in mississippi, as well as louisiana. hurricane ida has completed decimated and it has been a brutal storm. john: an area in the southwest corner, a place that got a lot of flooding and wind damage. and then, he is going to go to grand meadow, as well as grand aisle. you can see the drone shots from grand aisle yesterday. it is just devastation.
