Mount Pleasant woman arrested for DUI following accident

Mount Pleasant, IA- The Henry County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a Mount Pleasant woman for Driving While Under the Influence. According to a news release, on Monday, December 12th, at about 8:31 PM the Henry County Sheriff's Office received a report of a single-vehicle accident in the 1700 grid of Oakland Mills Road. The vehicle was located in a ditch and appeared to be totaled. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 35-year-old Nyla St. Claire of Mount Pleasant, who denied any injuries and refused medical attention. An investigation was conducted, along with field sobriety testing, which resulted in the arrest of St. Claire for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol 2nd offense, no SR-22 Insurance as required, and Driving While Revoked. St. Claire was also cited for failure to maintain control.

Hamilton, Ill Man injured after jumping from moving vehicle

Carthage, Ill.- The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says a man suffered serious injuries after jumping out of a moving vehicle. According to a news release, on Sunday, November 6th, at about 3:55 PM the Hancock County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a traffic crash on Illinois Highway 96 near County Road 1600 North. It was reported that a man had jumped out of a moving vehicle. Deputies arrived on the scene and learned that 27-year-old Dylan Kroeger of Hamilton, Illinois, had serious injuries from falling from a moving vehicle. The vehicle was a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by 33-year-old Shaina Kroeger. After further investigation, Shaina Kroeger was cited for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. Dylan Kroeger was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital via AirEvac. The incident remains under investigation.
