More than 64,000 vehicle licences renewed in Sharjah during first quarter of this year

Sharjah: The Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, is continuing with its awareness campaign under the slogan ‘Renew Your Vehicle’. The initiative is in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at making roads safer. Lt Col Abdul Rahman Khater, head of the Vehicles Licensing Department at the Sharjah Police General Headquarters, confirmed that the main objective of the campaign is to achieve the highest level of traffic safety for all road users, by educating vehicle drivers about the need to periodically check their vehicles and to renew their vehicle licences on time. These will help avoid traffic violations and protect vehicle drivers and other road users from accidents and other road hazards. He said renewing licences on time and periodic checks on vehicles help detect faults and thereby play an important role in minimising snags and accidents.

Sharjah Police launches ‘Complete Your Transaction from Your Vehicle’ service SHARJAH, 14th April, 2021 (WAM) The Sharjah Police, in cooperation with TASJEEL, launched the Complete Your Transaction from Your Vehicle , a new service that is added to the rest of the various services it provides to its customers in TASJEEL. The new service is part of SM’s constant endeavour to facilitate the customer s transactions as part of the precautionary and preventive measures in place to reduce the spread of the pandemic. Lt. Khaled Mohammed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, affirmed that Sharjah Police seeks to enhance customer’s satisfaction and happiness, by adding more quality to the services provided according to the best standards, in order to save customers’ time and effort, and in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at enhancing customer’s satisfaction and upgrading the services delivered.

Sharjah: The ‘Renew Your Vehicle’ traffic campaign launched by the Sharjah Police General Command is making brisk progress with motorists being provided a chance to renew licences of expired vehicles in a hassle-free way in the emirate. As many as 331,726 vehicles were examined during 2020 at 12 technical inspection centres in Sharjah. The total number of vehicles whose licences were renewed between January 1 and December 31, 2020, reached 273,369. This included 67,523 vehicles that were inspected through the service centres, 172,906 vehicles inspected via smart applications, and 32,940 vehicles checked through the Sahl device service, said Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Muhammad Al Kay, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police.

Ras Al Khaimah issues new rules for obtaining driving license

13 Dec 2020 Gulf Today, Staff Reporter The Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, has approved mandatory training lessons for trainees before subjecting to the driving tests for all categories. The step aims to improve the level of security and traffic safety and to ensure the safety of the emirate s roads in general. Brigadier Dr Mohammad Saeed Al Hamidi, Director General of Central Operations at RAK Police, explained that a total of (15) mandatory training lessons must be completed by trainees before obtaining driving licences in all categories of vehicles (heavy vehicles, light vehicles, heavy buses, and motorcycles).
