The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter Church in Chillicothe will again hold a Drive-Thru Food Giveaway this Saturday, April 24th.
The local church groups have been holding similar food drives over the past year in an effort to help Ross County residents struggling to put food on their table, or those adversely affected by the pandemic.
Saturday’s Drive-Thru Food Giveaway will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Peter Church, located at the corner of Water and Church Streets.
Drivers are requested to enter the lot from the alleyway on Church Street, and then exit onto Water Street.

A tractor-trailer full of food will be available to the community Monday and Tuesday, January 25th and 26th. Food items may include chicken, fish, eggs, cheese, fresh produce, fresh fruit, rice, pasta, cereal, canned items such as soup, beans, etc.

Johnson Park Center helps those struggling to feed themselves and their family with food giveaways - rain, snow, or shine, and everyone s invited to participate.
Starting on the corner of Arthur and West Streets, cars/vehicles will line up at the registration station where JPC Intake Persons, wearing face masks, will assist you with completing the Intake Form. They will place the number of households represented in each car on its windshield. Then you will drive up to each Food station, where volunteers will put the food in your car/vehicle.
