Phillip watkins and she watched as he was shot on sherman street. He was disstressed. Something i had never seen before. I didnt think things would get to this point. He was upset. He felt things werent going right. Reporter buchanon called the suicide help line worried about her future soninlaw. Then, there was a 911 call saying someone was locked inside an upstairs bedroom. It was watkins who called 911 and it was his way of calling for help. The radio captured tense moments when they arrived. Male walking towards us. Reporter they ordered him to drop the weapon, so he fired. Shots fired they shot him. And i begged the policemen not to shoot him. That he needed help. They could have tazed him. Reporter watkins was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A Police Spokesperson says the officers were in fear for their life and they are trained to stop a threat. Watkins was 23 years old, attended San Jose High School and Deanza College where he played football. He was engaged

The vehicle responsible for was southern most lane, pulled around a bus and, again, according to one witness, hit the van from behind exploding it up into the air. You could tell this had a weight to it. It was really serious. Are police say the mini van was stopped at a light when hit by an elderly woman doing speeds of 70 or 80 miles an hour. Officers saw the vehicle pass them at a rate of speed upwards of 70 miles an hour by all estimates. They didnt have time to get behind the car.
