at the pittsburgh va have been waiting for appointments since 2012. we re not finished by a long shot. we still have a long ways to go. if this is a systemic problem which many fear it is, we need a review from top to bottom and people need to be held accountable. we need to make sure our veterans get the health care they ve earned. the audit found the biggest barrier to getting care was a lack of doctor variability. a close second was trying to shoehorn vets into the 14 day appointment window. the two combined really made it difficult for vets to get the care they needed, wolf. this audit is a preview of what s going on i assume at other va facilities around countries. this is an interim audit. took four days in may to take a survey. what they found, people were not intentionally hiding it but were all flagging problems. they need to take a look. this is a harbinger to lots more bad news, lots more headlines. what it did do was really show that the reporting cnn has done and o
let them explain, i said, facts uncovered by drew. facts that show these so called charities to be abusing and squandering your hard earned donations, like none we ve ever seen before. tonight not one of these three have taken us up on the challenge. two of the three, though, have spoken out elsewhere, but the things they re saying raise even more questions. before we go to drew given who has the latest information on that, i want to show you his original report so you can reacquaint yourself with all the players in this, and what they ve been doing with the money that donors believed was actually going to help cancer victims. drive down these country roads outside knoxville, tennessee, and into this small industrial park. and you ll find the headquarters of a family conglomerate of cancer charities that return lavish salaries to their owners, but according to their own tax records, donate very little to dying cancer patients.
