Weekly donations of $2 can go a long way towards helping local charities.
Norfolk County staff raised $27,120 last year through a weekly Dress Down Fridays fundraiser. The initiative, which began in 2001, sees eligible staff donate $2 so they can dress down in the office on Fridays.

Although the work location changed for many staff, the campaign continued. The donations also increased.
âLast year was a particularly difficult year for our community, which makes supporting local charities more important than ever before,â Erin Anderson, Norfolkâs director of human resources, said in a media release. âThere are many organizations doing fantastic work right here in Norfolk, and weâre happy to do our part to support them.â
