another off icer we heard from was detective george losano, who you may have heard from, and seen on the drel phone individuvideo, the dramatic scene inside the building as officers were escorting the survivors to safety and described that moment when he said i ll take a bullet for you. listen to these men in their own words. i was responsible for watching a hallway that some people came down the hallway and actually that scared me because they opened the door and they didn t announce themselves so it kind of scared me. go, go, go. at that time i decided to walk them out. when they were passing me, there was a female there with a small child, an 8-year-old little boy that was just terrified, just shivering almost, to the point of like shaking like a leaf. and i said what i said. i ll take the bullet for you, that s for damn sure.
