A wanted Freeland man driving an all terrain vehicle on a road, fled a Wednesday traffic stop resulting in a roughly 2½ mile pursuit, Butler Twp. police said.
Two people died Saturday after a vehicle plummeted several hundred feet down an embankment off Route 309 in Butler Twp., township police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Tesla driven by Crystal Stash, 35, of Dallas, and occupied by Henry H. Abrahams IV, 28, of Stanhope, New Jersey, was traveling north on Route 309 just past Drasher Road at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday when Stash lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve in the road, police said.
The vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, struck a guiderail and became airborne before plummeting several hundred feet down an embankment just south of Sleepy Hollow Road.
