The Possum Point Players’ production of the Tony award-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will be the group’s second presentation using its newly created outdoor stage. Located right in front of Possum Hall, the new stage allows comfortable and safely spaced seating for patrons and technically equipped performance space for the cast.
Written by award-winning playwright Christopher Durang, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will run Friday to Sunday, May 7 to 9 and 14 to 16; Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $22, or $20 for seniors and students, and all seats are reserved. Framingham High School Drama Company to present ‘Almost, Maine’

FRAMINGHAM The Framingham High School Drama Company will present its production of “Almost, Maine” by John Cariani at 7 p.m. April 10.
This production is directed by Chris Brindley and Donna Wresinski and edited by Danny Zack. The production will stream for one night only. It was produced through special arrangements with Dramatists Play Service.
The show features: Diego Castrillo-Vilches, Hadley Connor, Joaquin Erasquin, Tyler Garofalo, Larissa Goncalves, Janie Harris, Nyosha Homicil, Elijah Jenkins, Ethan Kerr, Amelia Klippenstein, Rianna Lawrence, Katie Najarian, Cameron Norris, Alex Lopez, Olivia Palmer, Mike Pinto, Maya Puffer, Jenna Saxon, Domenci Scalzi, Emily Spalding, and Eva Taub. American Blues Theater has announced the winner of the 2021 Blue Ink Playwriting Award is Refugee Rhapsody by Yussef El Guindi. A staged reading of his play will be presented as part of the virtual 2021 Blue Ink Playwriting Festival, along with an online library of new work by finalists Juan Alfonso (An Educated Guess), Matthew Libby (The Machine), Wendy MacLeod (The Good Samaritan), and Chandra Thomas (The Buzzer). Details for the virtual reading and library, including dates and tickets, will be announced at a later date.
