Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is back…to the future, back to welcoming patrons into its home in Penn Quarter, and back to the magic of live performance, while acknowledging a new future must be built for a more equitable and sustainable industry. The 2021-2022 season will start to build that future in the here and now by programming previously announced projects, producing a live version of a hit streaming show, and launching a national tour.

PASS: The Pass is a compelling series of
autobiographical vignettes incorporating songs and stories
penned and performed by Denise Marsa, featuring Tracy Stark
on piano and supporting vocals. Travel with Denise as she
recounts her career towards the end of the 70s, through the
highly volatile and emotional 80 s, continuing on through
the start of the tech-driven 90s and on into the 21st

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced that Amanda Green has been elected to be their incoming Council President succeeding outgoing President Doug Wright. She will be the first woman president in the Guild s 100-year history. Amanda will serve with Branden Jacobs-Jenkins as Vice President, Kristoffer Diaz as Secretary, and Christine Toy Johnson as Treasurer. Previous Board Officers have included Lisa Kron, Julia Jordan, Marsha Norman, Lynn Nottage, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, John Weidman, and Doug Wright.

Syracuse, NY Redhouse Arts Center is pleased to announce the two plays that will take part in this year’s New Works Festival. The first is “Esmeranda’s Gift (Or How to Make a Crossword Puzzle and Solve Your Life.)” by Donna Hoke and the second is “Repair of the World” by Paul Sambol. Both will receive a two-week developmental workshop and each will work with its own director.
