Canadian Aiemann Zahabi revealed on Twitter Thursday that a positive COVID-19 test will force him off of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal card.

Canadian Aiemann Zahabi revealed on Twitter Thursday that a positive COVID-19 test will force him off of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal card. It’s heartbreaking for me not to be there fight week in Vegas but thankfully my covid 19 symptoms haven’t been too bad so far,” Zahabi posted on Twitter. “Wishing you all love and safety during this pandemic.”
Changes to the fight card for UFC Fight Night: Stephen Thompson vs Geoff Neal Dec. 17, 2020
Due to positive COVID-19 tests, please note the following updates to this weekend’s event:
Rick Glenn is being removed from his lightweight bout with Carlton Minus. Stepping in for Glenn will be Christos Giagos, who makes his first Octagon appearance of 2020. This bout will now be at a catchweight of 160-pounds.
The welterweight bout between Belal Muhammad and Dhiego Lima has been canceled from the card and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The bantamweight bout between Aiemann Zahabi and Drako Rodriguez has been canceled from the card.

UFC odds are on the board for the full Fight Night card on December 12 with Stephen Wonderboy Thompson set to face Geoff Neal in the main event.
This should be an intriguing bout between a pair of welterweight contenders with Wonderboy looking to earn himself another title shot and Neal looking to climb the ladder. MMA odds have shifted, with Neal as a slim -125 favorite while Thompson comes back at +100.
