Chicago Black Drag Council presents Black Valentine Cabaret Sat. February 6, 2021 7:39 PM by Ross Forman Black Valentine Cabaret is Feb. 12-14 More than 100 Black artists are set to participate in the 3-day Black Valentine Cabaret, to spotlight drag performers, burlesque dancers, DJs, musicians, and bands. This is the first official event from the Chicago Black Drag Council, with 11 shows and 7 DJ/band/musician set.
The Black Valentine Cabaret is Feb. 12-14, to air on twitch.tv/ChiBlackDrag.
“I was trying to figure out what the Drag Council can do that is more action-based instead of writing a statement to be posted on our Instagram and Twitter, (so) I thought about putting on a show,” said Tatyana Chante, aka, Taty, 24, who lives in Lakeview and has called Chicago home for the past 5 years, and is one of the event s co-producers.
