Dr. Patel says it would be naive to think the end of the pandemic is here but adds she was encouraged by the relatively fast rollout of three vaccines and says, We are making headway to getting more and more people vaccinated, which will help bring an end to the pandemic.

But the overall feeling is excitement and optimism. “There’s been a lot of people sharing on social media their pictures of getting their vaccine which I think is a good thing because the public needs to know that people are excited about this vaccine,” Patel said. “People are doing well after they get it, so that we can see more and more people sharing the optimism about the vaccine. I’m hoping that will get more people vaccinated.”
