Adani Enterprises and construction firm DP Jain & Co emerged as the highest bidder for two bundles of highways in the National Highways Authority of Indiaâs (NHAIâs) fifth bundle of roads auctioned through toll-operate-transfer (TOT) mechanism.
Under the fifth round of TOT, NHAI offered a 20-year lease period for two bundles with a total length of 159.5 km. The last date for submission of the bids for both the bundles was 18 January. Both toll roads are located in Gujarat. The first bundle size is 53.6 km and the second is 105 km.

Synopsis
Adani and DP Jain Infra, who quoted the highest price in the 5A-1 and 5A-2 packages last month, are now set to bag the respective bids. NHAI at it’s board meeting on Thursday disclosed the reserve price for TOT-5. The authority received bids worths ₹2,252 crore, against a reserve price of ₹1,621 crore.

The reserve price of 5A-1 was ₹800 crore, while that for 5A-2 was ₹821 crore, the official said.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has, however, not revealed the reserve price yet and the companies will bag the contracts only if their quotes are above the reserve price.
