Dozens of Queensland Police Service staff have been forced to isolate after being identified as close contacts of a Brisbane City Watchhouse worker who tested positive.
There are reports several staff working at Sunday s State of Origin game were sent home in the middle of their shifts after receiving isolation orders.
Just hours before kickoff, 52,000 ticket holders were told they had to wear masks while moving around Suncorp Stadium.
In a statement, Queensland Police said the 63 officers contacted on Sunday will isolate until a full assessment can be completed.
