While the number of new COVID cases in the Sudbury area appears to be slowing down, the same can’t be said for the rest of Ontario, which is now under new, tougher restrictions in an effort to stop the spread of the virus.
Public Health Sudbury and Districts said the area recorded 14 new cases on Friday, while the number of active cases dropped by nine to 197.

The health unit reported 23 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and 18 on Wednesday. On Monday, the number was 41.
