‘Social’ drinking outside on 12 blocks of downtown Muskegon begins soon

Downtown Muskegon s, social district, allowing patrons to stroll more than 12 blocks with drinks in hand, will fully open in April.

MUSKEGON, MI – The party is about to really get started in downtown Muskegon with the launch of its 12-block social district along which patrons will be able to stroll with their alcoholic beverages.
The social district, designed to give the downtown a “year-round festival atmosphere” will have a full “launch” starting in mid-April,
and could involve more than 20 alcohol-serving establishments.
The district stretches nearly the full length of Western Avenue, from Eighth Street to just past Pine Street. It also includes parts of Clay Avenue.
