Down Syndrome South Africa said people with Down syndrome should be prioritised in the national COVID-19 vaccine rollout. The organisation said people with Down syndrome are more vulnerable to contracting the disease, and have struggled under the pandemic regulations.
People living with Down syndrome are more vulnerable to COVID-19, which should be enough reason for them to be among the first groups to receive the vaccine, said Ancella Ramjas, National Executive Director of Down Syndrome South Africa (DSSA).
