A couple months ago, a team of Dow High School students were among 35 finalists for the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam grant, a national honor. Now they are among 13 winners who each received up to $10,000 to develop their respective projects. The Dow High InvenTeam received the grant in the Lemelson-MIT’s environmental sustainability category with their invention of a drain cover that opens when wet and closes when it’s dry.
