SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - South Brunswick Township Fire District No.2 will hold their annual election on Tuesday, April 20th at the Monmouth Junction Fire Station from 2 P.M to 9 P.M. This district covers Monmouth Junction, Dayton and the Deans section of the township, according to a press release.
In New Jersey, Fire District elections are held on the third Saturday in February every year. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Murphy pushed the elections to April via an executive order.
South Brunswick Township is split into three fire districts each with their own five elected members of the board. This year, residents in District No. 2 can vote to approve a new budget and two board members.
