In 2022, Northeastern was ranked among the top 50 national universities, according to U.S. News’ annual report. In their most recent 2024 rankings, released Sept. 18, the university was ranked 53rd, down significantly from its ranking of 44th the year before. Many colleges who had enjoyed top spots on the list in previous years also.
