Philadelphia s ice cream community got much less gay, and our city is worse off because of it.
Sadly the popular ice cream shop Big Gay Ice Cream, located on South Street is no more as owners Douglass Quinn and Bryan Petroff announced on their Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon.
Originally opened as a food truck in New York City, the duo brought the shop to Philly in 2015 and had earned critical acclaim for their creatively delicious products.
It sounds as this may not be a goodbye but a see you later of sorts as they hope to return to a new Philadelphia location in the future, once COVID dies down.
