The Sh 63 billion Kimwarer and Arror dams case which has taken over two years to kick-off has been adjourned for the last time.
When the matter came for hearing before anti-corruption magistrate Douglas Ogoti, the court was informed that the DPP was not ready to proceed because he wants to amend the charges.
“We are seeking for two weeks to file an amended charge sheet and complete full disclosure in the case,” said the prosecutor.
He sought for two more weeks to supply all the evidence documents including witness statements of Former Treasury Cabinet secretary Henry Rotich, PS Kamau Thugge, and ex Wildlife PS Susan Koech who have since been made state witnesses.

UPDATE, Thursday 4, February 2021:
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen together with journalist were barred from getting into the Court premises where Sonko s hearing was taking place.
The embattled former Governor was today taken to Kahawa Law Courts for his hearing under very tight security.
Sonko was escorted by a caravan of vehicles and heavily armed anti-terror police officers. After the vehicle carrying Sonko entered the Court s gate, the rest of the people were blocked at the road diversion into the court from access.
Senator Murkomen managed to enter the court premises after some negotiations and a security check at the entrance.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s may spend up to 30 days in police custody if a court allows an application by the state to detain him in a terrorism probe.
The Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti claims Mr Sonko is financing terrorism activities and is in an advanced stage of procuring arms and ammunition using a secret syndicate.
The in court Kahawa, Nairobi directed that he should appear before a Kiambu court for a bail application ruling today.
And at 2:30pm Sonko will appear before the Kahawa court for the hearing of Kinoti’s application.
DPP drops charges against Sh4.1bn Lake Basin mall graft suspects

Summary
The Director of Public Prosecution(DPP) has dropped charges against several accused persons in the Sh4.1 billion fraud case at the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) Mall in Kisumu.
Some of the accused persons in the fraud case include former Kisumu county assembly speaker Onyango Oloo, ex-LBDA managing director Peter Aguko, Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri and 23 others.
Following the request, the magistrate granted the DPP more time. The court also granted the DPP one month to file a new charge sheet.
