South Korean health officials reported the nation’s highest daily case count on Tuesday, 90,443 new infections, nearly double the amount from a week prior.
South Korea recorded 57,177 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, surpassing the previous single-day high of over 56,400 cases reached on Saturday, the country’s Disease Control and Prevention Agency said.
The 14-day “working quarantine” that permitted new arrivals under the status of forces agreement to move between their homes or other quarantine sites and their workplaces is no longer permitted.
