The Hawai‘i Elementary and Middle School Administrators Association (HEMSAA) named Jennifer Pimentel, vice principal at Lāna‘i High & Elementary, as Hawai‘iʻs 2024 National Outstanding Assistant Principal. In the Distinguished Principali category, Molokaʻi’s Daniel Espaniola, principal of Kaunakakai Elementary was a finalist as the Maui District honoree.
Day Three of a fatality inquiry into the deaths of two young men, who each froze to death more than five years ago, has revealed more information about their visits to the same south Edmonton bar.
AGLC inspector Andrew Wieb received two complaints after 20-year-old Mohamed Munyeabdi was found dead under a car near a south Edmonton bar in November 2018.
Fatality inquiries began Monday for two young men who were found dead in freezing conditions after leaving an Edmonton nightclub one in the winter of 2017 and the other in 2018.
