Irene Haley took over job last month. Speaking recently on WHAV’s morning program, Haley praised her predecessor Dougan Sherwood “Dougan did some excellent work with support, of course, of the board and I am very interested in keeping a lot of the programs going and making sure our members and stakeholders people who have faith in the Chamber know that I’ll continue that work and I’m excited to understand more about how I can influence not only the strategy but some of the program we have going forward,” she said.

Haley Takes Over as Greater Haverhill Chamber President and CEO on Monday

The Chamber’s board of directors said Thursday Haley would succeed Dougan Sherwood as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer. “I am thrilled to be joining this amazing team and vibrant, diverse community. I bring more than 20 years of leadership experience and a passion to serve others to this role and to this critical moment. I look forward to partnering with other local leaders to serve our members and our community,” said Haley in a statement.

Greater Haverhill Chamber Names Trinity EMS as December Business of the Month

In a year like no other, the Greater Haverhill Chamber says, it is honoring Trinity EMS as its December Business of the Month. Chamber officials cited the company for its “outstanding commitment to providing the highest quality in emergency services throughout the region.” “John (Chemaly) is a special person in the community and he means a lot to our Chamber,” said Dougan Sherwood, president and CEO of the business group. “His service to Haverhill has always been meaningful, and this year Trinity has been more needed than ever before.  This recognition is a small way for us to say thanks for their service on the front lines.”
